Qualifications:
Active Illinois SLP license required
Professional Educator License (PEL) for Speech-Language Pathology in Illinois required
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Experience working in early childhood or preschool settings strongly preferred
Excellent communication, organization, and record-keeping skills
Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Passion for working with diverse student populations
Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments, evaluations, and screenings for early childhood students
Develop and implement effective, evidence-based therapy plans tailored to individual student needs
Work closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student progress
Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress notes in accordance with district and state guidelines
Facilitate communication skills development, including speech, language, social/pragmatic, and augmentative communication
Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, staff training, and required professional development
Support transition planning and provide consultation to staff and parents as needed
