Looking for an opportunity to utilize your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a supportive and collaborative educational setting? Two part-time contract roles are available for dedicated SLP professionals ready to make a meaningful impact on student success. Position 1: August 2024-December 2026 (Maternity Leave, 3 days/week) This contract assignment focuses on case management for the SLP caseload, including conducting assessments, developing IEPs, generating reports, and overseeing services provided by an SLPA.
Position 2: School Year (0.4 FTE/2 days/week) This role provides support for a K-5 caseload throughout the academic year, carrying out all traditional SLP responsibilities to ensure comprehensive communication support for students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure in California
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered
Experience working in a school-based setting, including IEP development and progress monitoring, is strongly preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication and speech disorders in a K-5 school population
Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Monitor student progress and maintain thorough documentation and compliance with district and state guidelines
Consult with teachers, families, and support staff to maximize student outcomes
Oversee and support the work of SLPA as assigned
