Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by supporting diverse learners as a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist in a collaborative school network spanning Chicago and North Chicago. This full-time, in-person contract position runs from July 2026 through June 2027 and offers the opportunity to work with students across grade levels, primarily at PreK-8 and K-8 campuses. Your skills in communication, assessment, and intervention will play a vital role in helping young learners reach their full potential.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Current SLP-CCC certification
Active state licensure to practice as a school-based SLP
Bilingual Spanish skills highly preferred, though not mandatory
Experience working with diverse, multicultural student populations
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities
Commitment to in-person service delivery
Key Responsibilities:
Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and evidence-based therapy for students with communication and language needs
Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Offer culturally competent services with sensitivity to the bilingual and multicultural community
Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and district guidelines
Engage with parents and caregivers, offering education and resources to support students outside of school
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and contribute to the school's supportive learning environment
