POSITION DESCRIPTION: Under general supervision and direction, assist in the planning, organization and coordination of a pupil transportation program, assists with the scheduling and assigning of bus driver personnel, performs related clerical functions and does other reasonably related work as required. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: E=Essential Duties The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position. 1. Establish van routes and pickup times E 2. Schedule drivers E 3. Arrange for substitute drivers E 4. Schedule routes E 5. Dispatch duties E 6. Maintain parent contact in regard to transportation E 7. Schedule vehicle maintenance E 8. Prepare and maintain records, and correspondence using Standard English E 9. Perform other related duties as assigned 10. Maintain and compile data and information regarding the pupil transportation program, and prepare concise and clear summaries as required E 11. Assist in the planning, organization and conduct of transportation personnel orientation and in-service training programs E 12. Conduct vehicle inspections and report damage, vandalism and needed maintenance E 13.
