Core Security Responsibilities:


- SCIF Facility Management: Oversee daily SCIF operations, including opening/closing, end-of-day checks, escorting, managing fixed facility checklists, and maintaining IC/DoD facility accreditations and construction requirements (ICD 705).

- Multi-Disciplinary Security: Execute and advise on acquisition, physical, personnel, documentation, industrial, Operations Security (OPSEC), and Communications Security (COMSEC) programs.
- Strategic Planning & Advisory: Analyze business practices, recommend process improvements, develop strategic planning reports, and integrate security into Statements of Work/RFPs via System Security Working Groups (SSWG) and Integrated Product Teams (IPT).

- Document & Data Control: Maintain databases for the receipt, storage, inventory, and transmittal of classified information. Evaluate submittals against Security Classification/Declassification Guides (SC/DG) and review DD Forms 254.

- Personnel Security: Establish and manage Defense Information System for Security (DISS) accounts, track classified visits and clearance levels, conduct entry/exit searches, and maintain personnel security files.

- Education & Training: Develop, conduct, and support comprehensive in-house and web-based SCI security education and tracking programs.

- Inspections & Compliance: Prepare for facility surveys and audits of classified holdings, maintain inspection records, and execute corrective action plans. Serve as an alternate Top Secret Control Officer and/or Special Security Representative (SSR).

Clearance & Certification Requirements

- Clearance Level: FINAL Top Secret (no interim) based on a Tier 5 (T5) SSBI or equivalent, current within 5 years, and enrolled in Continuous Evaluation.

- Access Requirements: Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access and eligibility. Must complete the SCI Pre-Screening Questionnaire.

- Certifications: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) and Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) must be completed within 2 years of employment as a condition of employment (per DoDM 3305.13).
