Job Description: The School District of Baraboo is seeking a full-time Science Teacher at Baraboo High School for the 2026-2027 school year. Approximate start date is August 18th, 2026. Ideal candidates will be able to successfully collaborate and effectively build relationships with students, parents and staff. This position holds a 189-working day contract with benefits. Qualifications: Candidates should possess a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction license (#1610, #1601, #1635, #1605, #1634 or other appropriate license). Experience with diverse student populations (special needs, racially, culturally, socio-economically varied) is preferred. A successful candidate will develop and implement a variety of interesting and motivating activities, display strong leadership skills, utilize exemplary classroom management skills, demonstrate excellent oral and written communication abilities, have experience and knowledge of best practices and strong interpersonal skills. In addition, the candidate must display strong organizational skills, a desire to build strong relationships, cultivate a sense of belonging, demonstrate a familiarity with the common core standards, and have a working knowledge of the tenets of a collaborative professional learning community. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong background in culturally responsive teaching and equity.

District Description: The School District of Baraboo is an EC-12 grade district with a 4K program, five elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school with a total student population of 3,100 students. The District employs approximately 255 certified teachers. Baraboo is located in Sauk County and is among the most scenic areas in the state!
