Qualifications:

NJ Science Certification (Biology, Physical Science, Physics or Chemistry)

OR NJ Elementary Certification with NJ Middle School with Subject Matter Specialization: Science Grades 5 - 8 Standard Certificate

Salary: $60,653 - $115,891 per year. Final compensation will be based on experience and qualifications

All alternate route candidates ("Certificate of Eligibility) must show completion of 50 hours of pre-service training through a DOE approved CE educator program prior to being interviewed for a position. The certificate of completion must be uploaded into the AppliTrack portal in order for alternate route candidates to be considered. It explicitly prohibits such employers from hiring a person serving in a position which involves regular contact with students unless the employer conducts a review of the employment history of the applicant by contacting former and current employers and requesting information regarding child abuse and sexual misconduct allegations.
