As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you'll collaborate closely with therapists, residential staff, experiential educators, and school leadership to support the whole student and create an environment where young people can discover their strengths and reach their full potential.
As our Science Teacher, you will provide engaging, student-centered instruction for high school science courses while fostering curiosity, confidence, and academic growth. This is a unique opportunity to teach in a highly supportive environment where smaller class sizes, clinical collaboration, and individualized learning plans allow educators to make a lasting impact.
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver engaging science instruction for high school students.
Adapt lesson plans and teaching strategies to meet diverse learning styles and educational needs.
Create, maintain, and continuously improve curriculum materials for assigned courses.
Assess student learning and provide timely, constructive feedback.
Track and communicate student academic progress, performance, and behavioral observations.
Foster a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment.
Collaborate with clinical, residential, and experiential teams to support student growth and success.
Participate in academic planning and team meetings to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Science, Education, or a related field.
License: Montana Teaching License, or eligibility and willingness to obtain licensure.
Driver's License: Must hold an active and in good standing driver's license in the State of Montana.
Experience: Minimum of 1-year educational background and/or teaching experience in science, preferably with the adolescent population.
Skills: Knowledge of effective instructional and classroom management practices. Strong written and verbal communication. Organizational and task oriented. Flexible and adaptable when working with students who have diverse learning, behavioral, and emotional needs. Basic technology proficiency.
Background Checks: Must pass pre-employment drug screen and federal and state background check in concordance with Montana state laws.
