James E. Davis School is a state-accredited, non-public school in Lebanon, Indiana. The science teacher is responsible for teaching Earth Space Science, Biology, and ICP to high school students. In some semesters, the science teacher might also teach a middle school science class or a class to prepare students to complete their graduation pathway project.

  • Develop and deliver engaging Science lessons aligned with middle and high school standards.
  • Manage classroom behavior, establish routines, and monitor student progress through formative assessments.
  • Plan, edit, and source age-appropriate Science lessons and materials.
  • Provide feedback, tutoring, and support to students with diverse learning needs; adapt instruction as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, assessments, and school-wide academic initiatives.
  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and administrators about performance and interventions.

We are a very small school. Our population ranges from 30 - 40 students. Most of our students are high school students in hopes of receiving credit toward graduation.
