Science Teacher - Probationary
South Woods Middle School
Available on August 25, 2026
The Syosset Central School District seeks a Science Teacher for South Woods Middle School. This anticipated vacancy is a probationary appointment. The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
Hold NYSED certification in General Science required
Dual certification in Biology or Earth and Space Sciences preferred
Prior successful experience teaching Science
Knowledge of the NYS Science Framework and Learning Standards
Expertise in differentiated instruction to support the success and growth of all students
Possess innovative skills using instructional technology
Excellent listening, oral and written communication skills
Ability to collaborate with a highly respected faculty and staff
Salary as per the Syosset Teachers Association Contract
