The Unified School District of Antigo is hiring a dedicated teacher to join our high school science team for the 2026-27 school year.

Qualifications & Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science Education, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, or a related field, with a valid Wisconsin teaching license (or ability to obtain prior to employment).

  • Strong content knowledge in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and other general science disciplines.

  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction that incorporates student-centered and inquiry-based learning.

  • Experience designing and implementing hands-on laboratory activities, ensuring student safety and compliance with all safety regulations.

  • Proficiency in differentiating instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and using technology to enhance student engagement.

  • Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Ability to work within Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to analyze student data, share best practices, and improve instruction.

  • Commitment to scientific inquiry, problem-solving, and critical thinking in the classroom.

  • Participation in curriculum development, professional development, and school-wide initiatives to contribute to a positive school culture.
