As a Vikan Science Teacher, you will:
- Design rigorous, standards-aligned learning experiences that spark curiosity and critical thinking.
- Create a classroom where students investigate, experiment, collaborate, and communicate like real scientists.
- Empower students to take ownership of their learning by setting goals, reflecting on progress, and embracing productive struggle.
- Build a positive classroom culture where every learner feels seen, valued, and challenged.
- Use formative assessment and student evidence to adapt instruction and maximize growth.
- Collaborate with an outstanding team of educators committed to continuous improvement and collective success.
- Integrate literacy, technology, and real-world problem solving into daily instruction.

Required Qualifications:
- A valid Colorado Department of Education Teaching License.
- Colorado Department of Education "In Field" by CDE endorsement or qualifications to teach the posted subject area.
- The ability to handle many complex tasks simultaneously.
- The ability and interest to be part of a high-functioning team. (Having respected and trusted colleagues, preferably as teammates, makes the demands of teaching sustainable.)
- The ability and interest to learn continuously and to adapt to changing circumstances (student characteristics, curriculum, and so on).
- A belief in empowering all children as owners of their learning.
