SECONDARY SCIENCE TEACHER

JOB DESCRIPTION
The middle school/high school science teacher is responsible for the instructional program and implementation of activities for Pre-AP Biology at the 8th grade level and integrated sciences at the high school level within Saline Area Schools.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education/Certification
Valid Secondary Michigan Teaching Certificate required.
Science (DX, DI preferred; potential substitution of combined DA+DC)
Demonstrated successful student teaching experience required;
Possess experience with computer instruction and technology.
Experience and proficiency with incorporating NGSS daily into the classroom.
Possess the skills and desire to work in a collaborative team with others.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the teacher's role in a team environment.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
