Requirements:

• Valid NJ Instructional Certificate (Earth, Physical or Biological Science or Subject Matter Specialization Science Grades 5-8)
• Ability to conduct/facilitate laboratory investigations
• Knowledge/Experience with modeling and inquiry-based science instruction
• Knowledge/Experience with OpenSciEd (a plus)
• Knowledge of the scope and sequence of NJ Student Learning Standards (ie: Next Generation Science Standards)
• Knowledge of state assessment test specifications for science (ie: NJSLA)
• Ability to integrate technology effectively to enhance instruction
• Knowledge of Charlotte Danielson's Framework for Teaching a plus
• Knowledge of best practices in middle level education
• Willingness to collaborate with fellow department members
• Bilingual (a plus)

Effective: 2026-2027 School Year

Salary:

• As per salary guide based on experience and earned degree level
• Minimum $67,968 - maximum $99,181
