Shape What’s Next in Precision Plastics

Imagine stepping onto a temperature-controlled manufacturing floor at 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. You scan the schedule in IQMS, prep your work cell, and within minutes you’re dialing-in a new mold start-up. By the time most people are settling in for the evening, you’ve optimized a hot runner, verified valve-gated tooling, and tuned a 3-axis servo robot to hit dimensional targets—every cycle, every cavity, every shot.

Schedule & Rewards

  • Mon–Fri, 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
  • Sign-On Bonus
  • 12 Paid Holidays (including your Birthday)
  • PTO after 90 days + Perfect Attendance PTO
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Consistent schedule and hours (40 hours guaranteed) with overtime opportunities
  • 401(k) with Employer Match
  • Comprehensive benefits after 60 days (Medical, Dental, Vision, STD/LTD, Life)
  • Temperature-controlled environment

What You’ll Do

You’ll own the mold changeover and start-up process from end to end—then keep production humming through scientific injection molding and disciplined problem solving.

  • Mold changeovers: pull, set, and verify molds on injection presses; configure auxiliary equipment (dryers, grinders, robots, conveyors) and ensure the work cell is clean and correctly contained (screens, diverters, etc.).
  • Start-ups & processing: execute correct start-up checks, verify parameters, and perform minor mold maintenance as needed.
  • Optimize quality: adjust processing conditions to resolve quality or production issues; ensure molded components meet dimensional and attribute requirements.
  • Run diverse equipment: vertical, horizontal, rotational, and overlay molding machines; multiple core-pull and multiple cavity tooling.
  • Advanced tooling: effective use of hot runners and valve-gated systems; apply 2 & 3 stage and decoupled processing techniques.
  • Robotics: set up, program, operate, and maintain 3-axis Servo Robotics and EOAT; partner with Automation and Engineering.
  • Data & systems: maintain production records (paper/electronic); enter downtime and reference schedules/work orders in IQMS.
  • Continuous improvement: reduce process variation; perform hands-on troubleshooting using scientific molding and root-cause elimination.
  • Collaboration: coordinate priorities with supervisors and partner departments; communicate issues promptly to tooling, maintenance, and technical teams.
  • Flexibility: assist other departments (Inspection Operator, Quality, Tooling) as cross-training and production needs require.
  • Safety & stewardship: maintain housekeeping standards, follow safety policies, and live our core values.
  • Reliability: notify the Shift Supervisor of mold defects, machine issues, and safety concerns; maintain regular and punctual attendance.
