Scientific - Technician (Facilities & Equipment Services) (Entry Level)

100% onsite at4800 Davis Drive Morrisville, NC 27560
Shift - Overnight Sunday-Thursday from 10 pm-7am. Training for the position will happen for approximately 1 month M-F 8-5

Basic knowledge of mechanical systems or a desire to learn
Ability to use hand tools (hobbies that include fixing or tinkering with things is always a plus)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Ensure operation of custom automated laboratory equipment by completing preventative and corrective maintenance in accordance with IDT's quality policyTroubleshoots mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, fluidic, and optical devices/systems, as well as PLC controlled systems.Practices safe working habits, follows all IDT safety policies, identifies, corrects, and reports potential safety hazards.
The essential requirements of the job include:
· High School diploma or GED
· Proficiency in a variety of PC software programs with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
· Knowledge and use of a variety of hand tools

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
· Reading and interpreting blue prints and equipment schematics
· Previous laboratory and chemical handling experience

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
