Summary
Location: East Hanover, US #onsite Relocation Support: This role is based in East Hanover, NJ, United States. Novartis is unable to offer relocation support: please only apply if accessible.Role Purpose:Performs qualitative and quantitative analyses of organic, inorganic compounds, or biologics to determine chemical and physical properties during chemical syntheses, fermentation or drug product development process by verifying their identity, purity, and homogeneity. Ascertains relationships between molecular structure and physical or biological properties to aid in analysis of compounds and molecules.
About the Role
Major accountabilities: Effectively runs complex experiments and /or takes opportunity to bring new techniques into lab.Practices efficient time management, focuses on deliverables, and is able to effectively prioritize when designing /undertaking experimental plan.Analyzes and communicates own results to department /project meetings.Broadens technical knowledge via departmental activities, literature reading and experiential learning.Utilizes growing awareness of the drug discovery and /or early development pipeline to identify complex problems, present innovative solutions and drive their implementation.Key member of drug discovery/technology /development project teams with regular accountability within the project for own area of expertise.Designs /executes experiments and identifies next steps based on analysis of own data and data from other lab contributors.Independently modifies existing lab techniques and implements techniques new to the lab.Communicates results and conclusions to project meetings.May provide input to internal / external publications including writing relevant sections.Key performance indicators: Discoveries -DevelopmentsExperiments methodsAdherence to Novartis policy and guidelinesProject & stakeholder feedbackSuccessful execution of assigned tasks and work packagesSuccessful interactions in project teamsThe salary for this position is expected to range between $103,600 and $192,400 per year. The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors.Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.US-based eligible employees will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, life and disability benefits, a 401(k) with company contribution and match, and a variety of other benefits. In addition, employees are eligible for a generous time off package including vacation, personal days, holidays and other leaves.
