As an Analytical Scientist, you will be a key contributor within the Quality Control Method Transfer & Validation organization, leading critical laboratory studies that ensure the reliability, robustness, and regulatory compliance of analytical methods used to support pharmaceutical manufacturing. What You'll DoAnalytical Leadership & Scientific Execution

• Design, plan, and execute complex analytical studies supporting method validation, method transfer, assay development, and quality control testing.
• Independently perform laboratory experiments, analyze results, and provide scientifically sound conclusions and recommendations.
• Support product transfers through in-process and final product analytical testing.
• Identify opportunities to enhance method performance, efficiency, and reliability.

Method Validation & Technology Transfer

• Lead method validation and transfer activities from protocol development through execution and final report generation.
• Author validation protocols, reports, technical documentation, and supporting regulatory documentation.
• Collaborate closely with method development, manufacturing, quality, and technical teams to ensure successful technology transfers.
• Evaluate and implement new analytical techniques, instrumentation, and scientific approaches when appropriate.

Data Analysis & Compliance

• Review and interpret analytical data while ensuring compliance with cGMP requirements and data integrity standards.
• Utilize scientific software, chromatography data systems, and data visualization tools to support data-driven decision-making.
• Ensure all documentation, reports, and laboratory records meet regulatory and quality expectations.

Collaboration & Mentorship

• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop analytical strategies and project timelines.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior scientists and laboratory personnel.
• Support project prioritization and contribute to the successful completion of key organizational objectives.

Continuous Improvement

• Drive improvements in analytical procedures, workflows, and laboratory documentation.
• Contribute to the expansion of analytical capabilities through innovative thinking and scientific problem-solving.

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
• Industry experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related regulated laboratory environments.
• Experience working within cGMP-regulated environments and a strong understanding of quality systems and data integrity principles.
• Hands-on experience with:
  • HPLC/UPLC systems (including Waters platforms)
  • Empower Chromatography Data Software
  • Capillary Electrophoresis (CE, PA 800, or similar systems)
  • Plate-based analytical or chemistry assays
• Demonstrated experience with method validation, method transfer, and technical report writing.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining scientific rigor and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in analytical method development and assay development.
• Familiarity with LIMS and laboratory data management systems.
• Experience using Maurice or other advanced capillary electrophoresis platforms.
• Exposure to pharmaceutical manufacturing, biologics, vaccines, or monoclonal antibody programs.
• Experience with data visualization, predictive modeling, or computational analytical tools.
• Prior experience mentoring scientists or providing technical leadership on projects.

Work Environment

This position is based within a state-of-the-art pharmaceutical manufacturing organization focused on vaccines and monoclonal antibody production. The role combines laboratory and office-based work in a collaborative scientific environment that continues to evolve through ongoing facility and laboratory expansion.

Standard hours are Monday through Friday, with flexibility to support critical testing activities and operational priorities. Alternative schedules may occasionally be available based on business needs.

This is a Contract position based out of Sanford, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $65.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
