Scientist - I (Assistant)

JSG is recruiting a Scientist - I (Assistant) for our client in Rahway NJ
In this hands-on role, you’ll engage in cutting-edge formulation development, process optimization, and laboratory execution, supporting critical projects in sterile product formulation and process development. Pay $32.14/hour

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on laboratory experience in pharmaceutical formulation, sterile product development, or related fields
• Proficiency in preparing formulation buffers, reagents, and conducting aseptic techniques
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-driven, organized, and attentive to timelines
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with biologics and sterile formulation development
• Knowledge of biophysical characterization methods such as DLS, DSC, DSF, SDS-PAGE, or UV/Vis
• Familiarity with statistical software like JMP
• Prior experience in pharmaceutical, biologics, or Merck environments

Preferred Education and Experience:

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field
• Bachelors with 2-3 years or Master’s with 1-2 years of relevant industry experience

• On-site role requiring reliable presence in Rahway
• Commitment to safety protocols and Good Laboratory Practices
