Job Title: Scientist I – Molecular Research

Pay Rate: $28.96-$49.29/hr

We are seeking a Scientist I to support pre-clinical molecular research focused on infectious disease and genomics diagnostics. This is a hands-on wet lab role responsible for designing and executing molecular biology experiments, processing biological samples, analyzing experimental data, and documenting results in electronic laboratory notebooks. The role supports assay development for pathogen detection and collaborates on research initiatives involving nucleic acid technologies.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biological Sciences, Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field.
Typically 1–3 years of relevant industry laboratory experience.
Hands-on wet lab experience in molecular biology research.
Biological sample handling.
In vitro transcription.
Nucleic acid purification.
PCR, qPCR, and digital PCR (dPCR).
qPCR assay development for pathogen detection.
Gel electrophoresis.
Electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) documentation.
Experimental design, execution, and molecular data analysis.
Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies.
Experience working with BSL-2 bacteria.
Infectious disease or molecular diagnostics research experience.
