Job Title: Research Scientist – Cell Biology
Location: Ridgefield, CT
Pay Rate: $49.96/hr
Duration: 1 year
Job Description
- Independently initiate, execute, interpret, and troubleshoot routine in vitro studies and cell-based/biochemical assays.
- Design and execute non-routine exploratory assays using literature and published protocols.
- Perform literature research and apply scientific principles to develop new experiments and technologies supporting drug discovery.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
- Develop protocols, procedures, technical reports, and scientific documentation.
- Maintain accurate electronic lab notebooks and experimental records in accordance with SOPs and applicable regulations.
- Support training of technicians and junior scientists and contribute to scientific reports.
- Provide approximately 2–4 hours of weekend support each week for business operations; scheduling is flexible.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related life science field.
