Responsible for operating and maintaining flow cytometry analyzers and cell sorters, including instrument setup, quality control, monitoring runs, and routine maintenance. Designs and optimizes multiparameter panels for conventional and full-spectrum cytometry. Provides user training and support in a high-throughput shared lab environment while ensuring compliance with BSL-2+ safety standards.
Responsibilities:- Doctorate degree OR Masters degree and 2 years of experience OR Bachelors degree and 4 years of experience
The worker will support flow cytometry operations, including:
Cell sorting support
Starting up and shutting down cytometers
Monitoring cell sorts during operation
Instrument cleaning and routine maintenance
Monthly maintenance involving fluidics/PBS/saline systems
Supporting analyzer-only cytometers
Troubleshooting clogs or instrument issues
Helping users complete experiments successfully
Proactively checking in with scientists and lab users
Required / Strongly Preferred Skills
Flow cytometry experience
Cell sorting experience
Experience with analyzers and sorters
Familiarity with conventional and spectral cytometry
Basic troubleshooting of cytometer issues
Comfort supporting users in a shared-resource or service-based lab
