Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking two dependable SCO Puller / Unloaders to join a fast-paced steel warehouse operation in Oklahoma City. This position is responsible for pulling and unloading steel materials, tracking inventory with handheld scanners, staging customer orders, and preparing materials for will-call customers.
This is a hands-on industrial warehouse position requiring experience with sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes. Stand-up side loader forklift experience is strongly preferred. The position may also involve torch cutting steel materials to meet customer order requirements.
Required Experience & Skills

Torch cutting experience preferred
Steel warehouse or industrial material-handling experience preferred
Ability to safely handle long, heavy steel materials
Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy
Ability to accurately follow customer orders and material requirements
Dependable attendance and ability to work the full first-shift schedule
Strong commitment to workplace and equipment safety
Must pass required background check and drug screening
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Pull steel materials according to customer and warehouse orders
Unload incoming steel and industrial materials
Verify materials and quantities for accuracy
Operate sit-down forklifts to move, stage, and unload materials
Operate stand-up side loader forklifts when trained and qualified
Use overhead cranes to safely move and position long or heavy steel
Use handheld scanners to locate and track inventory
Maintain accurate material locations within the warehouse
Prepare and stage materials for will-call customers
Perform torch cutting when required for customer orders
Identify incorrect, damaged, or missing materials
Communicate inventory or order discrepancies to appropriate personnel
Maintain clean and organized warehouse and staging areas
Follow all warehouse, crane, forklift, and equipment safety procedures
Perform additional material-handling and warehouse duties as assigned
Forklift & Equipment Responsibilities
Candidates will work with or around:
Sit-down forklifts experience required
Overhead cranes experience required
Stand-up side loader forklifts experience strongly preferred
Handheld inventory scanners
Torch cutting equipment
Long and heavy steel products
Other industrial material-handling equipment
Safe equipment operation and constant awareness of surrounding employees, materials, and machinery are essential.
Steel Material Handling
This position involves handling long, heavy, and sometimes awkward steel products.
Responsibilities may include:
Pulling steel from designated inventory locations
Unloading incoming materials
Moving steel with forklifts and overhead cranes
Positioning long materials safely
Staging products for customer pickup
Verifying material type, quantity, and order information
Maintaining safe spacing and storage of heavy materials
Inventory & Scanner Responsibilities
Use handheld scanners to locate materials
Verify inventory information before pulling products
Track material movement throughout the warehouse
Maintain accurate inventory locations
Confirm quantities against customer orders
Identify and report inventory discrepancies
Help maintain accurate warehouse records and material traceability
Will-Call & Torch Cutting Responsibilities
Pull materials for will-call customer orders
Verify requested products and quantities
Stage completed orders in designated pickup areas
Perform torch cutting when required to prepare material for customers
Verify cut materials meet applicable order requirements
Maintain safe work practices around torch cutting equipment and steel products
Preferred Qualifications
Previous SCO Puller / Unloader experience
Steel warehouse or metal distribution experience
Sit-down forklift experience
Stand-up side loader forklift experience
Overhead crane experience
Torch cutting experience
Handheld scanner experience
Inventory control experience
Will-call order preparation experience
Experience handling long or oversized industrial materials
Screening Requirements
Candidates must successfully complete:
Background check

Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
Ability to safely work around long, heavy steel materials
Ability to safely enter and exit forklifts throughout the workday
Ability to operate overhead crane controls safely and accurately
Comfortable performing physically active warehouse work throughout the shift
Ability to safely work around forklifts, cranes, steel, torch equipment, and industrial machinery while wearing required PPE
Work Environment

Regular work around forklifts, overhead cranes, side loaders, steel products, and torch cutting equipment
Hands-on position involving inventory pulling, unloading, material movement, and customer order preparation
