Scorekeeper
Reports to: Recreation Supervisor - Sports, Recreation Coordinator
Wage
Starting at $15.00 per hour
Season: May - August
Location: Saratoga Primary Function
The scorekeeper will keep score of Adult Softball/Kickball games at Saratoga and/or Buchner.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete score sheet, keeping track of hits (types), runs, outs, RBI, and errors.
- Operate score board with runs and outs.
- Announce game.
- Assists in ensuring proper supervision of participants.
- Responsible for customer service readiness.
- Responsible for on-site public relations. Appropriately handles questions and concerns at the site.
- Observes, enforces, and explains all facility rules and regulations.
- Inspect area prior to use.
- Performs maintenance and general housekeeping of scorekeeping area.
- Complete and submit payroll sheet each week. Make sure timesheet is signed.
- Attends and provides all in-service training, ongoing evaluations, and staff training. Reviews current manual.
- Ensures implementation of the facility emergency action plans and facility rules.
- Communicates equipment and supply needs to the Recreation Supervisor - Sports or Recreation Coordinator.
- Report's maintenance concerns that are of immediate concern to the building staff and assist when needed.
- Carries out additional duties as may be assigned by supervisory staff members.
Tentative Work Schedule:
Monday: 6:15 pm to 10:45 pm
Tuesday: 6:15 pm to 10:45 pm
Wednesday: 6:15 pm to 10:45 pm
Thursday: 9:45 am to 12:30 pm
Friday: 6:15 pm to 10:45 pm
Sunday Hours: Only if necessary
Position Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
- Must hold current certification: American Red Cross CPR or willing to attain.
- Must have knowledge of scorekeeping, announce games, and run scoreboard.
