Job Description
Position requires:
High school/GED preferred
Valid drivers license preferred
Duties as follows:
- Operate cutting torch to cut pieces of scrap into specified sizing
- Maintain clean torch cutting tip and replace cutting tip as required;
- Complete daily paperwork including, but not limited to, a pre-shift safety inspection;
- Perform dismantling, stacking, and scrap value sorting actions;
- Perform basic maintenance actions and other general labor duties as required.
- Ability to run or learn hydraulic shears for non ferrous/ferrous material
- Bobcat and forklift experience preferred
- Outdoor work required in all seasons
- Ability to stand 8 hours
Required skills:
- Full time M-F with Saturday hours
- Able to stand for 8 hour shift
- Must be able to work in varying natural elements
- Able to lift up to 40lbs
- Results orientated/Strong work ethic
- Reliability, enthusiasm, teamwork
- Well-developed interpersonal skills – ability to get along with diverse personalities
Job Type:
- Full time
- $15.00-$19.00 per hour
