The Screw Machine Operator position is on the 1st shift (6am-4pm) with a pay range of $21-$28/hr, depending on experience.
As a Screw Machine Operator, you will set up and operate single or multi-spindle lathe-type screw machines with automatic indexing and feeding mechanisms. Your responsibilities include machining metal bar stock parts to precise specifications and tolerances.
- Read and interpret blueprints and job orders
- Set up machine tooling, including collets, cams, gears, bushings, and pushers
- Load bar stock and install cutting tools as per work order specs
- Adjust cutting speeds, feed rates, and machine controls
- Monitor machine operations and inspect initial and in-process parts
- Replace worn tools and sharpen using bench grinders
- Follow safety policies, OSHA standards, and ISO procedures
- Perform basic math for measurements and inspections
- Maintain attendance and support team production goals
