Modern Healthcares Best Places to Work - since 2012 Details: Part-time 20 hours per week Tuesday, Wednesdayand Friday 8:00am-5:00pm JOB SUMMARY: Assists provider to facilitate patient flow through the Physician Clinic and ensure an accurate and complete medical record for each patient. The Scribe assists the medical provider by accompanying them during the office visit and accurately capturing the medical history and exam by recording details of both into the electronic medical record. This position will also assist the provider in coordinating department resources regarding tests, orders, follow up visits and referrals during the checkout process. QUALIFICATIONS: Computer proficiency and ability to quickly learn new applications. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Possess willingness to accept orders and to perform repetitive tasks. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Loyal in matters relating to the office. Has awareness of the need for discretion and keeping confidential matters relating to the patients and their problems. Previously demonstrated performance in a medical environment. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have adequate perception of sounds or adequate hearing with corrections. Must have strength and stamina for prolonged walking, standing, and dealing with stressful situations. Able to work in latex burdened environment.
