Surgical Scrub Technician

A surgical facility in Fayetteville is seeking an experienced and dependable Surgical Scrub Technician to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a skilled Surgical Tech looking for a consistent four-day workweek and a strong work-life balance.

• 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• 32 hours per week

Pay

• $27–$29/hour, depending on experience

Position Overview

The Surgical Scrub Technician will work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other surgical staff to ensure safe, efficient, and well-organized surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterile technique, and operating room procedures and will be comfortable working as part of a collaborative surgical team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms and surgical supplies for scheduled procedures.
• Set up sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies according to the procedure being performed.
• Maintain strict sterile technique throughout surgical procedures.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team during procedures.
• Pass instruments, supplies, and equipment to the surgeon as needed.
• Assist with accurate counts of instruments, sponges, needles, and other supplies.
• Assist with room turnover and preparation for subsequent procedures.
• Properly handle, clean, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
• Follow infection control, safety, and facility policies and procedures.
• Assist with maintaining an organized and adequately stocked operating room.
• Work collaboratively with nurses, physicians, anesthesia personnel, and other members of the surgical team.
• Maintain patient safety, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Surgical Scrub Technician/Surgical Technologist required.
• Strong understanding of sterile technique and surgical procedures.
• Knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Dependable, professional, and committed to patient safety.
