Job Summary (List Format): Workday HRMS Scrum Master State of Maine, MaineIT

- Serve as Scrum Master and Agile coach for cross-functional teams supporting the Workday Human Resource Management System (HRMS).
- Facilitate all Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives) to ensure effective team delivery.
- Act as a servant leader, fostering a collaborative, self-organizing, and high-performing team culture.
- Remove impediments and coordinate risk management to ensure timely progress and resolution of issues.
- Partner with HR Product Owners/Managers and system leads to ensure backlog readiness, prioritization, and alignment with organizational goals.
- Serve as the primary liaison between MaineIT Application Development, HR, Payroll, and agency stakeholders.
- Align Agile delivery with Workday HRMS timelines, including bi-annual releases and production deployments.
- Coordinate system testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for HRMS enhancements.
- Promote Workday HRMS best practices, system integrity, compliance, and high-quality service delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement by leading retrospectives, monitoring team performance, and implementing actionable adjustments.
- Support stakeholders in understanding Agile roles, responsibilities, and processes, promoting accountability and ownership.
- Facilitate clear communication between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring transparency and shared understanding.
- Encourage innovation, ongoing learning, and adoption of new practices within the team.
- Work in a remote environment with occasional coordination during critical releases or incidents.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 4+ years' experience as a Scrum Master or Agile facilitator; experience with HR systems, preferably Workday HCM.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid).
- Proven leadership of cross-functional teams in fast-paced settings.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent).
- Experience with Workday implementations/support, Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps), and public sector organizations.
- Familiarity with HR processes (hire-to-retire lifecycle).
