Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Scrum Master for a Contract with a client in Columbus, OH. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in Agile practices and the insurance (P&C) domain while removing impediments, supporting backlog management, and enabling high-performing, collaborative teams.

Rate Range: $41/Hour to $56/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Scrum Master Job Responsibilities include:

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure smooth team execution.

  • Coach and mentor teams on Agile/Scrum best practices, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.

  • Identify and remove impediments to maintain team productivity and delivery timelines.

  • Partner with the Product Owner to manage and prioritize the backlog aligned with business and regulatory needs.

  • Track and report key metrics such as velocity, sprint progress, and release readiness to stakeholders.

  • Leverage P&C insurance domain knowledge to ensure solutions align with business workflows and objectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field (Scrum/Agile certifications preferred).

  • 8-10 years of experience in Agile delivery, Scrum Master roles, or project management within the insurance domain.

  • Strong hands-on experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching teams on Scrum principles in a P&C insurance environment.

  • Proven ability to manage backlog alignment, remove impediments, and track delivery metrics while ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.

Pay Details: $41.00 to $56.00 per hour
