Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Scrum Master II position! This is a 12-18 months contract and will be hybrid in Buffalo, NY. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.
What You'll Be Doing:

Provide servant-leadership and mentorship to multiple cross-functional agile teams, applying Scrum, Kanban, and Extreme Programming (XP) frameworks to drive team effectiveness and delivery excellence
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by coaching teams on agile best practices including user stories, retrospectives, story mapping, ATDD/TDD, continuous integration, pairing, and information radiators
Facilitate all team ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure alignment, transparency, and productive collaboration
Drive team self-organization and cross-functionality by educating and guiding teams on effective agile practices, theories, and techniques
Address and remove blocking issues that require cross-team coordination or escalation beyond the team's authority, ensuring teams remain focused on their sprint goals
Collaborate with other Agile Leaders across the organization to strengthen the overall effectiveness of agile adoption and implementation
Visualize and communicate team progress, metrics, and impediments through effective use of information radiators and data-driven insights
Mentor less experienced Scrum Masters and cultivate team-level coaching content to guide teams toward high performance
Lead and participate in learning opportunities such as communities of practice, conferences, and training to continuously evolve agile capabilities
What You'll Need to Have:
4+ years of experience as a member of an agile team, including a minimum of 2 years as a Scrum Master (or 8+ years combined higher education/work experience including 4 years on agile teams with 2 years as Scrum Master)
Deep knowledge of Agile and Lean principles and practices, with proven ability to apply them in real-world team environments
Strong facilitation and coaching skills with demonstrated ability to lead through influence and foster team self-organization
Depth of knowledge in at least two technology team roles (e.g., project manager, UX, business analyst, developer, testing, deployment)
Experience developing or managing digital capabilities with understanding of Design Thinking principles
Collaborative mindset with proven ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and drive data-driven decision making
Adaptable approach to change with excellent verbal and written communication skills
