You'll work with multiple Agile teams, mentor fellow Scrum Masters, and help advance Agile maturity across the organization while partnering with business and technology leaders. Location: Buffalo, NY Duration: 12 months Primary Responsibilities Serve as a servant leader and Agile coach for multiple cross-functional Scrum teams. Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and release planning. Coach teams on Agile principles and best practices including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, Extreme Programming (XP), user stories, story mapping, ATDD, TDD, and continuous integration. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, transparency, and accountability. Help teams become self-organizing, cross-functional, and highly effective. Remove impediments and coordinate with stakeholders and partner teams to resolve blockers impacting delivery. Utilize Agile metrics and information radiators to improve visibility into team progress and performance. Partner with Product Owners to support backlog refinement, prioritization, and value delivery. Mentor and coach less experienced Scrum Masters and contribute to Agile Communities of Practice. Promote learning through coaching, workshops, training sessions, conferences, and knowledge-sharing initiatives. Ensure adherence to organizational risk management, regulatory requirements, and internal control standards. Support an inclusive, collaborative work environment and perform additional duties as assigned. Scope of Responsibilities Lead Agile delivery efforts across multiple teams while championing Scrum, Kanban, and Lean methodologies. Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance team productivity, quality, and delivery predictability. Collaborate with Agile leaders to strengthen Agile adoption and organizational effectiveness. Build strong partnerships with Product Owners, business stakeholders, architects, developers, and leadership to align priorities and remove organizational impediments. Encourage transparency through Agile metrics, dashboards, and visual management tools. Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities No direct people management responsibilities. Leads through servant leadership, influence, accountability, and coaching. Provides mentorship and guidance to Scrum Masters and Agile team members. Education and Experience Required Bachelor's degree and a minimum of four (4) years of experience as a member of an Agile team, including at least two (2) years serving as a Scrum Master; OR In lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of eight (8) years of higher education and/or relevant work experience, including at least four (4) years working on Agile teams and two (2) years as a Scrum Master. Demonstrated experience applying servant leadership principles. Strong collaboration, facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills. Experience leading Agile teams using Scrum and Kanban frameworks. Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills. Education and Experience Preferred Experience serving in multiple technology disciplines such as Project Management, Business Analysis, Software Development, Quality Assurance, User Experience, or Deployment. Proven success coaching teams toward self-organization and continuous improvement. Strong knowledge of Agile, Lean, Scrum, Kanban, and Extreme Programming (XP) practices. Experience supporting digital product development and Agile transformation initiatives. Understanding of Design Thinking principles and customer-centered delivery. Experience leading through influence in large, cross-functional organizations. Professional Scrum Master (PSM), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or comparable Agile certification preferred. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
