Scrum Master - Jira Administration & Confluence

Our client, a IT Services and Consulting company, is looking for a Scrum Master - Jira Administration & Confluence for their Plano, TX/Hybrid location.
 
Responsibilities:

• Serve as a senior consultant and agile delivery expert focusing on Jira administration, Jira board optimization, and Atlassian Confluence enablement within a hybrid work model.
• Apply agile methodologies including Scrum to guide teams, streamline workflows, and improve cross functional collaboration. Enable consistent delivery outcomes aligned to customer value and organizational strategy.
• Drive agile delivery practices across multiple teams by applying Scrum and broader agile methodologies to ensure predictable, high quality increments that align to product and program objectives.
• Guide Scrum events and team ceremonies in a disciplined manner to foster transparency, continuous inspection, and adaptation while maintaining a sustainable delivery pace.
• Manage Jira board configurations to design clear workflows, issue types, and status transitions that accurately reflect team processes and support efficient work visualization.
• Administer Jira projects by maintaining schemes, permissions, notifications, and automation rules that uphold governance standards and improve user experience.
• Structure and maintain Confluence spaces to provide a single source of truth for project documentation, decision logs, runbooks, and knowledge articles that are easy to navigate and reuse. Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to refine backlogs in Jira, clarify acceptance criteria, and prioritize work based on business impact and customer experience goals.
• Coach teams and stakeholders on agile values and Scrum principles to build shared understanding, reduce friction, and promote continuous improvement across the delivery lifecycle. Analyze flow metrics such as cycle time, throughput, and work in progress from Jira to identify bottlenecks and recommend targeted process enhancements.
• Partner with technology, operations, and business teams to design Jira and Confluence usage patterns that support regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and data integrity.
• Create and maintain agile playbooks, templates, and best practice guides in Confluence so teams can quickly adopt consistent ways of working and onboarding is simplified.
• Coordinate with other scrum masters and agile practitioners to align cross team dependencies, synchronize releases, and reduce risk across programs and portfolios.
• Facilitate issue resolution by using Jira data and Confluence documentation to highlight risks early, drive fact based discussions, and support timely decision making.
• Measure the impact of agile interventions by tracking key performance indicators and communicating outcomes that show how delivery practices contribute to customer value and organizational goals.
• Provide day to day coaching to team members on effective usage of Jira and Confluence so that information is accurate, current, and accessible to all relevant participants.

 
Requirements:

• Demonstrate extensive experience using Jira for end to end agile delivery including backlog management, sprint planning, reporting, and configuration capabilities.
• Show strong proficiency in agile methodologies and Scrum practices with a consistent track record of guiding teams toward iterative delivery and continuous improvement.
• Bring proven hands on expertise as a scrum master or similar agile facilitator within complex environments that involve multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Exhibit solid experience administering Jira including managing projects, schemes, permission models, and automation to support secure and efficient operations.
• Possess advanced working knowledge of Confluence for creating structured documentation architectures, templates, and collaboration spaces that enhance knowledge sharing.
• Display effective communication and facilitation skills that enable productive interactions with technical and non technical partners across hybrid work settings.
• Apply analytical and problem solving capabilities to interpret Jira reports and other delivery data, translating insights into actionable improvements for teams and sponsors.
