Job Title: Scrum Master
Location- Pittsburgh, PA
Job Type- Contract
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scrum Master to lead agile practices across our software development teams. The ideal candidate will facilitate agile ceremonies, remove impediments, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. This role is critical to ensure timely delivery of high quality software solutions aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Guide and coach the development team on Agile/Scrum principles and practices.
Facilitate daily stand ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Ensure the team adheres to Scrum theory, practices, and guidelines.
Remove impediments and foster an environment for high performing team dynamics.
Collaborate with Product Owners to manage and refine the product backlog.
Track and communicate sprint progress, velocity, and other key metrics.
Promote transparency and visibility across teams and stakeholders.
Support the team in achieving commitments and delivering value.
Drive continuous improvement through feedback and retrospectives.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
5+ years of experience as a Scrum master in software development projects.
Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
Excellent facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
Experience with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello).
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in scaled agile environments.
Technical background or familiarity with software development lifecycle.
Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
