WHAT WE DO:
We focus on providing delivery, staffing, and supported services such as enterprise integration/implementations including, but not limited to, CRM, EAM, ERP, PMO, and QA. We service clients in SLED (state/local gov't & education), financial services, fortune, public utility, as well as regularly partnering with Big 4 SI partners.

Are you a Scrum Master looking for your next engagement? If SO, we want to speak to you. DTI has an immediate need for 3 Scrum Masters for a 6month+ contract in San Antonio, Tx.

Consultant should be open to 25%+ travel
Engagement scheduled to start in March 2026


Engagement Context
We are preparing for Program Increment (PI) execution beginning next week and require experienced Scrum Masters to support multiple Agile delivery teams. These teams operate within a scaled delivery environment and are responsible for delivering committed PI objectives aligned to enterprise priorities.

Role Summary
The Scrum Master serves as servant leader and facilitator for Agile teams, enabling delivery of committed outcomes by removing impediments, fostering collaboration, reinforcing Agile practices, and ensuring transparency of progress, risks, and dependencies.

Key Responsibilities
Delivery Enablement
  • Facilitate core Agile ceremonies (planning, daily standups, reviews, retrospectives)
  • Guide teams in creating clear, actionable backlog items aligned to business value
  • Support PI Planning readiness and execution
  • Track team progress toward sprint and PI objectives
Impediment Removal
  • Identify blockers early and coordinate resolution across teams or leadership
  • Escalate risks and dependencies appropriately
  • Ensure issues impacting delivery are visible and managed
Team Effectiveness
  • Coach teams on Agile principles and ways of working
  • Foster psychological safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Help teams improve estimation, predictability, and flow
Stakeholder Alignment
  • Partner with Product Owners, Tech Leads, and Workstream Leads
  • Ensure priorities are understood and work is aligned to business outcomes
  • Communicate status, risks, and achievements clearly to stakeholders
Execution Discipline
  • Maintain accurate tracking in Jira (or equivalent tool)
  • Ensure stories meet Definition of Ready and Definition of Done
  • Support metrics visibility (velocity, predictability, throughput, etc.)

Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience serving as Scrum Master for Agile delivery teams
  • Strong facilitation skills across cross-functional teams
  • Experience managing dependencies in multi-team environments
  • Proficiency with Agile tooling (Jira or equivalent)
  • Ability to quickly onboard into existing delivery environments

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in scaled Agile environments (SAFe, Nexus, LeSS, or similar)
  • Experience supporting enterprise transformation or complex programs
  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, SAFe SM, etc.)

Success Indicators (First 30–60 Days)
  • Teams demonstrate clear sprint goals and predictable delivery cadence
  • Impediments are surfaced early and resolved quickly
  • Backlogs are refined, prioritized, and ready for execution
  • Stakeholders have clear visibility into progress and risks
  • Teams show improved collaboration and ownership

Engagement Expectations
  • Immediate availability
  • Ability to support PI Planning and early PI execution activities
  • Strong communication and facilitation presence
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment

Pay rate: $45-$50hr
