Clem's Seafood is looking for a friendly and reliable Seafood Market Cashier to join our team in beautiful Southport, NC! This is a great opportunity to be part of a local seafood market where fresh catches and great customer service are at the heart of everything we do. Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner at the point of sale
• Process cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately using a POS system
• Answer customer questions about seafood products, pricing, and availability
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary checkout and market area
• Assist with stocking, labeling, and displaying fresh seafood and market products
• Handle customer concerns and returns with a positive, solution-oriented attitude
• Support team members during busy market hours and peak seasonal rushes

Requirements:

• Prior cashier, retail, or customer service experience preferred
• Basic math skills and comfort handling cash and card transactions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, seafood market environment
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in cool/wet conditions
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and seasonal peak hours
• Food handling knowledge or willingness to learn seafood safety practices
