Position: Seafood Clerk – Seafood & Specialty Foods
Location: in the Mentor Area
$18.00 - $19.00 hourly, based on experience.
Job Overview:
Join our team as a Seafood Clerk and help deliver a top-tier customer experience at our retail seafood and specialty foods counter. You'll assist with product prep, inventory, online and curbside order processing, and in-store service — all while maintaining high standards for food safety, cleanliness, and customer care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide friendly, knowledgeable service at the counter and curbside
Prep and stock seafood and specialty items (fresh & frozen)
Operate scales, POS, and label systems
Manage online orders and assist with daily ordering
Monitor pricing, rotate stock, and track inventory/shrink
Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
Cross-train on curbside, cashiering, and product display
Participate in promotions, demos, and seasonal events
Qualifications:
Strong customer service and communication skills
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask
Comfortable working with seafood and using sharp tools
Able to lift to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods
Retail or foodservice experience is a plus
Work Environment:
Primarily in a refrigerated retail seafood area. Requires teamwork, flexibility, and direct customer interaction.
