Seafood Warehouse Assistant

BIG CATCH SEAFOOD is search of a dependable person to join our team!
We will consider a seasonal position! Experience is a plus, but we will train the right person!

Hours are between Tuesday - Saturday 8am - 5pm.
Hours can be flexible! Part-time or full-time! Saturdays are a MUST.

Summary: Responsible for assisting all aspects of the warehouse, shipping and receiving tasks, cutting and packing the fish, and completing warehouse maintenance by performing the following duties:

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

1. Assists all aspects of shipping and receiving by logging in products and material received as well as preparing outgoing shipments.*
2. Prepares customer shipments accurately according to pick tickets by lifting, packaging, weighing, and recording pertinent shipping information on pick ticket for internal use.*
3. Maintains warehouse shelves and areas in a clean and organized manner.*
4. Operates standard warehouse equipment such as electronic scale.*
5. Assists counter staff which includes fish cutting and retail customer assistance.*
6. Responsible to take waste and garbage to the dumpster as needed throughout the day and at the end of the work day.*
7. Stocks counters, display refrigerators, and ice display neatly to include accurate product descriptions and prices.*
8. Maintains appropriate portion control and merchandising standards when needed.*
9. Maintains proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards.*
10. Sanitizes the display equipment at the beginning and end of each work day.*
11. Responsible for cutting fish in a safe and efficient manner to customer specifications (We will train).*
12. Adheres to safety procedures within warehouse at all times.*
13. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Must be able to lift 50lbs and work in cold/wet conditions (freezer/walk-in fridge)
