Job Summary

As a Search Engine Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing search engine solutions with a focus on relevance, scalability, and optimization. You will work closely with product teams, data scientists, and other engineers to ensure that our search capabilities meet and exceed user expectations. You will leverage your technical skills in AWS and Python to create scalable, efficient, and reliable search solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement search engine solutions that deliver high-quality search relevance and performance.
  • Develop and maintain search algorithms, including query processing, indexing, ranking, and scoring.
  • Collaborate with product managers and data scientists to understand user requirements and optimize search results.
  • Implement and manage AWS-based infrastructure to ensure scalability and reliability of search services.
  • Use Python to develop custom scripts, data processing pipelines, and search-related features.
  • Conduct A/B testing and analyze search performance metrics to improve relevance and user satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends in search engine technology, relevance, and optimization techniques.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to search engine functionality.
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing search engine solutions.
  • Strong understanding of search engine relevance, optimization, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, and other related services.
  • Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and data processing.
  • Experience with Apache Solr, Elasticsearch, or similar search engine platforms.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with machine learning and AI techniques for search relevance.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of data visualization and analytics tools
