As a Seasonal Animal Care Specialist, a husbandry based position, you\ll gain real world experience in professional animal care and learn the basics of behavior training through observation. You'll work closely with a passionate team that's committed to first-class animal welfare and positive reinforcement practices.

\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t

What You'll Be Doing:

\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t

\t\t\t\t\t\t

• Responsible for the daily care like cleaning, feeding, and enrichment

\t\t\t\t\t\t

• Assisting with simple training behaviors (ex. stationing, shifting, and crating)

\t\t\t\t\t\t

• Observing and reporting on animal behavior

\t\t\t\t\t\t

• Pitching in to keep the work environment safe, clean, and well-organized

\t\t\t\t\t

\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t

Who We're Looking For:

\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t

\t\t\t\t\t\t

• You have a high school diploma or GED

\t\t\t\t\t\t

• Some hands on experience (internships or volunteering) in animal care is a big plus

\t\t\t\t\t\t

• You're comfortable working outdoors in Florida's heat

\t\t\t\t\t\t

• You're a solid communicator, a team player, and eager to learn

\t\t\t\t\t\t

• You're reliable, positive, and able to work weekends and holidays

\t\t\t\t\t

\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t

What You'll Need Physically:

\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t

\t\t\t\t\t\t

• Able to lift 50 lbs

\t\t\t\t\t\t

• Comfortable being on your feet and moving around for most of the day

\t\t\t\t\t\t

• OK working in a loud, fast-paced environment

\t\t\t\t\t

\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t

The seasonal position is limited to a maximun of 39.5 hours per week and up to 120 days.

\t\t\t\t\tThis position is a great way to get valuable experience in the field. While it's temporary, lessons, connections, and hands on learning can last you a lifetime.
