Named one of Sports Business Journal's Best Places to Work in Sports (2025), Front Office Sports' Most Impactful Sports Organizations (2024), and Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies (2023), Athletes Unlimited owns and operates professional women's softball, volleyball, and basketball leagues featuring world-class competition and fan experience. Athletes Unlimited stands out as an organization driven by the athletes that play in the leagues, with athlete representation on the company's board of directors, each league led by a Player Executive Committee, and players sharing in long-term profits of the company, all while being proactive in shaping policies supporting the women that play in the league. Athletes Unlimited is the first professional sports league to be organized as a Public Benefit Corporation. For more information, visit AUProSports.com.

In June 2025, Athletes Unlimited launched Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL), a premier professional women's softball league that models traditional "city-based" leagues (e.g. WNBA and NWSL) with commensurate operations and commercial activities. The five-year goal is to grow AUSL aggressively by adding additional teams in 2026 and beyond, converting to a fully city-based model, bringing in team owners, and building out ancillary business, fan, and partner engagement opportunities.

Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) is hiring Athletic Trainers to help oversee the medical operations of the AUSL All Star Cup Series and ensure all players receive individualized care to optimize performance. This position is a seasonal role and reports directly to the Head Athletic Trainer for AUSL.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential injury record management for all applicable injuries and illnesses
  • Complete necessary worker's compensation documentation in a timely manner for any injury sustained during the AUSL season
  • Maintain the equipment and give input for the supplies purchased for team use.
  • Serve as the primary athletic trainer with direct coverage for a designated team
  • Work directly with the Strength & Conditioning Coach and fellow coaches to design and execute scientific-based, sports-specific strength and conditioning programs for each team as needed - as directed by the Head AT for AUSL.
  • Collaborate with other ATs and Strength & Conditioning Coach to ensure a safe and effective return to sport in the case of injury through proper conditioning modifications.
  • Maintains open communication and professional relationships with team physicians and other local medical professionals to ensure optimal player health and performance throughout the season
  • Listen to athlete's needs/concerns to determine appropriate referral to mental health resources when applicable
  • Adhere to all Athletes Unlimited Pro Sports and AUSL policies and procedures including Health and Safety Protocols, medical documentation systems, and sports betting and anti-discrimination policies.
