Cable Manufacturing Technician
The live event industry runs on cables and as our business grows so does the demand for more cables! An interest in audio helps but in the cable department their hearts belong to manufacturing - the process, the quality and the performance. While prior experience in assembly is preferred, most of what is needed will be taught on the job by Clair professionals.
Qualifications/Requirements:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability requied to perform the essential functions of this job under direction supervison of the Cable Department Manager.
- Ability to read and follow procedures and diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair cables and related devices.
- Attention to detail with a strong emphasis on accuracy to ensure production at expected quality and quantity levels.
- Familiarity operating test equipment
- Ability to work independetly once a task has been mastered
- Some lifting and physical labor required
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma
- 0-2 years experiecne assembling in a manufacturing environment
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Wire prep
- Soldering and crimping
- Trouble shoot and repair cables and devices
- Track daily job routings
- Enter inventory transactions into the ERP system
- Other tasks as assigned
