Seasonal Custodial Worker

Position Summary:

The Campbellsport School District is seeking Seasonal Custodial Workers to assist the Buildings and Grounds Department during peak maintenance periods. This position helps maintain clean, safe, and well-maintained school facilities and grounds through general cleaning, building preparation, painting, and basic maintenance and groundskeeping support.

Essential Duties:

• Assist with general cleaning of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and surfaces
• Wash windows, desks, lockers, and walls as needed
• Assist with moving furniture and equipment for building preparation
• Assist with painting classrooms, hallways, and other facility areas as directed
• Empty trash and recycling containers
• Assist with outdoor grounds maintenance including cutting grass, weed eating, trimming, and general grounds upkeep
• Support preparation of facilities and grounds for school events and activities
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Buildings & Grounds or Head Custodian

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must hold a valid Wisconsin driver's license
• Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and lifting
• Ability to operate basic custodial and grounds equipment
• Prior custodial, maintenance, groundskeeping, or painting experience preferred but not required

Terms of Employment:

Seasonal/temporary position. Hours and duration will vary based on district needs.
