Responsibilities 

As a Data Specialist, you will play an essential role in processing the information families provide while contributing to our mission of making private education accessible for all. Daily responsibilities include:

  • Performing accurate data entry based on the information provided by families and in accordance with our protocols and standards.
  • Requesting additional information and documents from families when necessary to ensure complete data entry.
  • Ensuring that the data entered aligns with the highest standards of data accuracy.
  • Completing 60+ data entries daily during peak season.
  • Collaborating with the Director of Support and fellow Data Specialists to contribute to team efforts and process improvements.

  • Applicants MUST reside in one of the following states: AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, DC, FL, HI, IL, KY, ME, MD, MA, NJ, NY, NC, OR, PA, RI, SC, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI

The ideal candidate will:
  • Be proficient in data entry, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Be committed to upholding data security standards.
  • Be proficient in handling numerical data and capable of performing basic math and arithmetic as needed for the role.
  • Be comfortable working flexible hours, including evening/night and weekend shifts during peak support season (October through March).
  • Be comfortable with technology and able to learn new systems and software quickly.
  • Find fulfillment and enjoyment in helping people solve their problems. 
  • Effectively multitask, prioritize, and manage time in a high energy environment.
  • Work effectively both individually and as part of a team.
  • Be self-motivated and love to learn new things.
  • Possess excellent written communication skills.
  • Be detail-oriented and dedicated to high levels of accuracy in data processes.
  • Find excitement in being part of a rapidly growing company and be motivated to seek growth opportunities.
  • Reside in one of the eligible states listed above.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Prior experience with data entry strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with tax forms (e.g., W-2, 1040, financial aid documents) is a plus.
