Schedule/Hours: M - F 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (40 hours per week)
This position is responsible for:
Drives a Salvation Army vehicle in order to transport passengers and Red Kettle equipment to bell ringing locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provides transportation for bell ringers to kettle sites and the Corps.
Picks-up Angel Tree donations from various sites for transport to warehouse.
Picks-up and delivers miscellaneous items as needed.
Drives carefully and observes/complies with all traffic signs and road/weather conditions to ensure the safety of passengers.
Fuels vehicle in accordance with state gasoline regulations and The Salvation Army standards.
Maintains control of passenger activities by prohibiting unsafe or non-Christian behavior.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
Ability to drive a vehicle in heavy traffic and extended trips.
Work involves driving a vehicle where there may be physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, heat or discomforts associated with long distance trips or heavy traffic.
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
