Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is hiring several Seasonal - Facility Maintenance Worker I employees to support the Evergreen Fair Park, Grounds Mow Crew, Ballfields Grooming, and Stormwater Drainage. This position pays $26.817 per hour.

Facility Maintenance Worker I supports Parks and Fair Park Maintenance, starting as early as March 1, 2026, and creating an Eligibility Register to fill future openings through October 31, 2026.
  
If you are hardworking, team oriented, reliable, and customer service driven, this seasonal work is a great opportunity!  You will be assigned to work on a crew performing a variety of duties which may include routine grounds keeping, building maintenance and event support at the Evergreen Fair Park, or supporting routine facility maintenance and mowing support for over 120 Snohomish County parks and trail system.
  
Your strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to provide excellent customer service to the public will make you successful in this role. Candidates should be comfortable working outside and working in a park’s customer service environment. You must have a valid State of Washington Driver's License.
  
 Duties assigned will include:

  • Sweeping, raking, picking up trash from grounds and trails; cleaning and preparing facilities for scheduled events to include the Evergreen State Fair, pressure washing buildings, shoveling, and spreading mulch, gravel and soils and being an ambassador of Snohomish County to the community.
  • Mows, edges, trims, and water lawns.
  • Weeds flower beds; trims trees and plants; waters and fertilizes a variety of flowers, plants, shrubs, and trees; and
  • Stormwater drainage system vegetation management, catch basin inspection and repair.
  • Operating and maintaining a variety of light trucks and maintenance equipment.


Eligibility Register 
Once all positions are filled an Eligibility Register will be created which will expire on 10/31/2026.
  
This seasonal position pays $26.817 per hour and is typically scheduled for 40 hours per week, and you may be eligible for overtime in accordance with the bargaining agreement.  You will be assigned to work at Evergreen State Fair Park, Parks Mow Crew or Parks Facility Maintenance crew.

To remain in active consideration for employment, you must provide a Full Abstract Driving Record within 4 days after accepting this conditional offer.
