Join a dedicated team responsible for street repairs, grounds maintenance, and building upkeep. This role offers a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience while supporting local services. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, during which you will perform manual labor using various tools and equipment. This position plays a vital part in maintaining public spaces and infrastructure, offering stable hours and a consistent schedule. Hours:
Monday Friday, 7:00am 3:00pm (Approx 35 hours/week)
Pay:
$17.00/hour
Key Responsibilities:- Manual labor for street repair, grounds maintenance, and building maintenance
- Use of handheld equipment such as shovels, rakes, brooms, weed eaters, blowers, mowers, etc.
- General lifting and physical activity during shift
- Outdoor work and exposure to various weather conditions
- Exercise caution when working in roads and parks to ensure safety
Minimum Requirements:- Previous landscaping experience
- Experience in building maintenance preferred
- Ability to pass a 5-panel drug test
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and performing manual tasks for extended periods
Nice to Have Skills:- Experience operating different types of outdoor power tools and equipment
- Knowledge of safety protocols for outdoor and public works maintenance
Preferred Education and Experience:- Prior landscaping or general labor experience
Other Requirements:- Must work on-site at Fairlawn, Ohio location
- Be neat and presentable; avoid torn or suggestive clothing
- Safety gear including glasses, vests, gloves, and ear plugs will be provided and should be worn when required
