Job Summary
Maintain Salt Lake Community College grounds to ensure they are safe and well kept.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities & Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Able to do moderate lifting up to 50 lbs. Physical activity involves bending, stooping, climbing etc.Ability to follow instructions and perform manual labor i.e.; weed pulling, pruning, turf mowing tasks, operate equipment safely, repair irrigation systems (heads, valves, pipe).Must take low speed vehicle training offered at SLCC.Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College.Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience helpful but not necessary if willing to be trained in maintenance procedures.
