The Seasonal Guest Services Associate provides exceptional frontline service in the Welcome Center and Garden Shop during ILUMINA. This position involves guest check-in, ticketing, membership sales, retail support, and general event assistance. Ideal candidates are friendly, reliable, and enjoy interacting with people in a fun, festive environment.
Responsibilities Guest Experience
- Greet and assist guests with a warm, professional attitude.
- Process admissions, event tickets, memberships, and retail sales accurately using POS and CRM systems.
- Provide information about ILUMINA, MBG events, and Garden memberships.
- Handle questions or concerns courteously, referring complex issues to a supervisor.
Retail & Operations
- Assist with stocking, organizing, and maintaining merchandise displays.
- Ensure the Welcome Center and Garden Shop remain clean, organized, and guest-ready.
- Monitor inventory and report restock needs.
- Support daily opening and closing procedures.
- Collaborate with staff and volunteers to create a positive team atmosphere.
Qualifications Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service preferred.
- Experience in cultural, botanical, or nonprofit settings a plus.
Skills & Abilities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, public-facing role.
- Able to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in Florida weather.
- Basic computer and cash-handling skills required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) helpful but not required
