The Town of Cohasset Department of Public Works is seeking a dependable and safety-focused individual to serve as a laborer in the Tree and Park Division.
Reporting to the Tree and Park Supervisor, this position performs manual work related to the maintenance of town greenspace, including parks, fields, town property, and the cemetery. The Seasonal laborer must be able to work independently, follow established safety procedures, and assist other areas of the Department as needed.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Candidates must also possess:
Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
A valid Class D Driver’s License.
This is a temporary, seasonal position in the Department of Public Works. The anticipated schedule is up to 40 hours per week, depending on departmental needs. Some weekend, holiday, emergency, or after-hours work may be required.
The position will be compensated at PT-2, Step 4 ($18.89)
Seasonal employees are not eligible for benefits.
